Erin and Dave had contacted me in the fall of 2013 and I had been looking forward to it for what seemed like an eternity! It poured during the ceremony, but thankfully we were able to take advantage of the beautiful scenery beforehand! The rain did not make the ceremony any less emotional. They had friends travel thousands of miles to be with them on this special day. They moved to the West Coast shortly after the wedding and I hope they are enjoying the warm Cali sunshine! These two were one of the most easygoing and sweet couples I've worked with, and I'm so honored they picked me to document these moments for them.

My friend and fellow photographer got married last weekend! Sarah & Kyle asked me to take a few bride & groom portraits for them, and I'm so glad for the opportunity! After a 10-minute hike through the woods and crossing a narrow rope bridge, we arrived at the gorgeous setting. The weather and lighting were dreamy. It was a nice change being able to enjoy most of the wedding as a guest, but still be able to photograph part of a unique event. They wanted to for a natural, romantic feel and I hope I captured that for them. Here are a few of my favorites!

This intimate family-only wedding between two high school sweethearts happened on an absolutely perfect day at the beach! Amanda and Gavin were so easy to work with and the setting was an absolute dream for a photographer.

I joined Shannon and Richard on a breezy spring afternoon at his parents' house near Atlantic Beach. The day started out sunny and perfect, and ended with a campfire and s'mores. Other than seeing these two lovebirds tie the knot (literally), the part I was most excited about was being reunited with Toby the corgi!

Megan & Neil are two of the happiest, most in-love people I have ever met. I have a feeling they are going to be that way for a long time! The wind was strong, but that did not dampen their spirits at all. These images make me yearn for summer again!

Pavilions at the Angus Barn • Raleigh Wedding Photographer

It's officially fall! This elegant & rustic outdoor wedding had beautiful flowers, cute kids, wedding pies, and an invisible jump rope contest. This was my first time at the Angus Barn and I was so excited to check out the views, and the food! Chris Werner flew all the way from California to shoot this adorable couple's wedding and I was fortunate to get the chance to shoot with him. If you live in the Pacific time zone, check him out for your wedding! Since Chris took care of the formal portraits, he let me do what I love best: shoot purely phojournalistic style!
